1913 Mercer 35-J Raceabout after mechanical restoration and
starter installation. Starting systems designed and installed that
preserve the originality of the automobile without modification
and at the same time are hidden to preserve the original looks.
The Mercer system is designed so the the aluminum disc and
ring gear attach to the back of a u-joint that is nestled inside of
the flywheel. The starter to the right attaches to the sub frame without any modifications to it. In other words a bolt on system
that is light weight and not noticeable from the sides of the car
or under the hood.
